Doctor of Oriental Medicine

Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Evans has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine since 1997. He sees patients in the central valley town of Lodi at his clinic, Acupuncture of Lodi,  and  at the Centre for Structural Integration in San Anselmo.

His interest in Oriental Medicine developed while living in Japan, where he studied martial arts and Japanese acupressure.  He returned to the US and attended the Heartwood Institute,  learning massage therapy and Chinese nutrition with  nutritionist Paul Pitchford, author of “Healing with Whole Foods”.

He then attended Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM, earning his M.S. in Oriental Medicine.

Since 2000, he has successfully treated a wide variety of ailments and has a strong following in Lodi and the surrounding communities. He believes that healing is its most effective when practiced with caring and compassion and always strives to put his patients at ease.

Dr. Evans is an avid practitioner of Chinese “internal” Martial Arts, (TaijiChuan, Xingyiquan, and Baguazhang).  This training, based on ancient forms of movement, has informed his medical practice and has led him to a deeper understanding of Chinese philosophy and how it relates to the body, health, and longevity.

In addition to Chinese Medicine and Martial arts, he enjoys playing guitar and singing.
